Master Freediving Skills
- Master Freediver Course
- Duration: 3 hrs
- Cost: 15 €
- Participants: up to 4
- Language: English
- Interaction: Questions & Discussion
Refine the mental, physical, and technical skills required for deep freediving. This seminar focuses on elite dive preparation, advanced relaxation techniques, deep diving procedures, safety diving, and specialized training methods used to enhance performance and efficiency.
Contents
Adjusting the buoyancy before each dive
- How to apply the rule of neutral buoyancy (at two thirds of the depth) in deep diving.
The Preparation for a deep freedive
The 10 minutes preparation plan: 5 minutes of diaphragmatic breathing and 5 minutes of active mental meditation methods:
The diaphragmatic breathing (duration 5 minutes).
Mental active relaxation (concentration): Five minutes of yoga meditation methods:
The active body relaxation: The meditation technique of the “bright and warm bar”, which “scans” the body (2 minutes)
The virtual shore relaxation “mental video” (1 minute).
The virtual dive video (1 minute).
Locking our sight to a small item or fish at the surface (1 minute).
Other deep diving skills
The moves to descend in a deep freedive.
The moves to ascend in a deep freedive.
The role of the safety diver in deep freediving.
Designing a deep freediving plan, a series of dives and a day of deep freediving.
The pranayama training to improve your diaphragmatic breathing.
The Functional Residual Capacity (FRC) training and possible dangers from using it.
Learning outcomes
Participants will learn:
- Advanced buoyancy management for deep dives
- How to apply neutral buoyancy principles at greater depths
- A structured 10-minute pre-dive preparation routine
- Advanced diaphragmatic breathing techniques
- Mental relaxation and concentration methods used in deep freediving
- Visualization techniques for improving performance and confidence
- Efficient descent and ascent procedures
- The responsibilities and techniques of the safety diver
- Planning and organizing advanced deep diving sessions
- Pranayama exercises to improve breathing efficiency
- The principles, applications, and risks of Functional Residual Capacity (FRC) training
This seminar is designed for experienced freedivers seeking to move beyond technique and develop the mental discipline, preparation routines, and performance-enhancing practices that characterize high-level freediving. It emphasizes the integration of body, mind, and breathing to achieve greater efficiency, relaxation, and depth.
